Create a Personal website • Login using LinkBlue account to create your own site at http://scholar.uky.edu/ • Enable users to edit your site • Create a Project website- • Project sites can be private or public facing- you give access to users • Contact BMI support personnel to create a Project site • Dongying Zhong, dongying.zhong@uky.edu or 323-7134

  3. Watch a brief tutorial for guidelines on creating a site Select Login Button at bottom of page to create a new site or access your existing website

  4. Use LinkBlue Account information to log in and create a personal website If you want a Project website set up that does not have a username/password, please contact support, Dongying Zhong, dongying.zhong@uky.edu or 323-7134.

  5. Select button to start creating your site

  6. Create a URL address Do not use spaces or capital letters Click here to see if name is available

  7. If name is available, this message will appear To get started, click here

  8. Standard site appears this way until you customize the appearance

  9. Once your site has been created and your URL assigned, you can access your site to revise at any time • Login using LinkBlue Account

  10. Select your website by clicking here or your name

  11. Standard site appears this way until you customize the appearance To customize, click on control panel or need help link

  12. Change the Title of your site or Upload a picture Hover by the Name or the photo box and an arrow will appear Select Configure

  13. New settings are displayed on front of site and on the login page

  14. Select a Theme for your site

  15. Select a theme for your website from the control panel Some have different colors for the template Save settings

  16. Build your site • features • layout • menus

  17. Some settings allow customization Build your site Features Select settings you want to add to your website- Make private or public, or leave disabled Save your changes

  18. Customization for Bio/CV Must click on PDF link to view full screen Remember to save your settings

  19. Select layout for each section of your site Select your site layout

  20. Select Menus that should show on front of website (Primary) or Secondary

  21. Select Settings

  22. Link to Google Analytics Account for visitor information Save settings

  23. Add users to your account to allow edits

  24. Manage Content

  25. Add New Information • Pages • Announcements • Calendar Events • Links • Gallery Images • Book Page • Person

  26. Save Announcement

  27. Announcements appear based on saved settings for site appearance

  28. Add a new event Review current, upcoming, and past events

  29. Remember to save

  30. Sidebar shows upcoming events Hover over event for more details
