  3. FISH INFORMATION • Main Information Product(s): • Information Capture: • Fisheries Information Summary System (FISS) • Field Data Information System (FDIS) and mini-FDIS • Small Lake Assessment and Management System (SLAM) • Lake and Stream Summary System (LSSS) • Aquatic Reports Catalogue (AquaCat) • Land & Resource Data Warehouse (LRDW) • Inventory Standards (RISC) • Information Referencing: • 1:50K BC Watershed Atlas

  4. FISS –Summary level fish and fish habitat data for water bodies throughout BC FDIS – (1) Field data entry, storage and reporting tool for staff/contractors (MS Access) (2) Oracle component of FDIS resides in LRDW Mini- FDIS – data entry, storage and reporting tool for data that doesn’t fit “traditional FDIS SLAM – intranet data capture, storage and analysis system for small lakes management LSSS – intranet query and data capture tool; provides physical, chemical and fisheries information on B.C. lakes, wetlands and streams AquaCat – (1) staff and contractors use Intranet to upload reports, datasets and maps (2) searchable Internet site - download copies of the reports, datasets and maps **FIDQ – Fisheries Information Data Queries – internet query page to download summary and detailed level fisheries and habitat information for water bodies in BC LRDW – central store of interrelated fisheries datasets in a warehouse server – refreshed daily – above products all utilize the LRDW – Information is current **Fish Wizard – internet, map driven query for anglers and the public “Static” data tables are 4 years old – FISS data only – very little FDIS data – currently under redevelopment – Information is not current Watershed Atlas 1:50k stream network - a framework for referencing fisheries data and information

  5. Applications that meet a variety of information needs FIDQ – Comprehensive data and information source – download data to make your own map LSSS AquaCat Watershed Atlas New Fish Observation Layer in LRDW Future Plans

  11. WSC Query: All records for watershed Mainstem & tributary data

  12. To Display the query results: • Save the CSV file, and remove its header • Open iMap • Select → toolsets → analytical toolset • Select → upload CSV file • Display fish sampling sites on the water network

  13. Delete header Widen columns (best fit) Resave
