The ESB started its activities in 1984 with the degree in Food Engineering. OBJECTIVES: - Prepare Skilled graduates to support the food industry, able to act in different areas like: . Production . Quality Control and Quality Management . Development of New Products and Processes . Research and Development . Distribution and Marketing . Industry Management . Consulting and Education The graduates work: 25% in Research and Development 75% in Food Industry - Establish the connection between the academic, scientific and industrial realities A five year higher diploma, after 12 undergraduate study years. The disciplines are grouped in 6 main topics: 85% Compulsory 15 % Optional distributed as: Opportunities to go abroad: - 1 semester in the 5th year (compulsory) - financed by different programmes: Socrates / Erasmus, Leonardo, Tempus, Flad Industry Date: December 2000
