  1. Tally List • This page will be divided into columns for the genres and number of titles students are required to read. • Students tally the books read. • I will sign off on the genre requirements that are complete.

  2. Books to Read List • This is a list of: • Books students plan to read. • Book sequels that are yet to be published. • Books recommended by peers or teachers. • Books students have previewed and want to read.

  3. Reading List • Students record all of the books they have read, or attempted and abandoned. • Each book’s entry includes a title, author, and date the book was finished. • Students will write an assessment of how difficult the book was to read.

  4. Response Entries • Major portion of Reader’s notebook • Students reflect on their personal reaction to the books they read and the authors’ writing.
