I/Fs) • G-PON related Recommendations • G.984-series • 3 Recommendations approved (basic; phys. media dependent layer; transmission convergence layer) • 1 Recommendation consented April 2004 (mgmt. & ctrl. I/Fs)

  5. DSL systems for access networks • Work started in 1996 • Phone line networking systems related Recommendations • G.989-series • 3 Recommendations (basic; payload format; isolation function) • HDSL & SHDSL related Recommendations • G.991-series • 2 Recommendations (transceivers) • ADSL related Recommendations • G.992-series • 5 Recommendations (ADSL splitter & splitterless; ADSL 2; ADSL 2+) (cont’d)

  6. DSL systems for access networks (cont’d) • VDSL related Recommendations • G.993-series • 1 Recommendation (basic) • Revised version consented April 2004 (transceiver & line code) • OtherDSL related Recommendations • G.994-series – Handshake procedures • G.995-series – Overview of DSL Recommendations • G.996-series – Test procedures • G.997-series – Physical layer management • Future work • IP and IP-based, Ethernet and other services over DSL • Bonding multiple DSL • Single ended line testing • Management of DSL systems/equipment • Enhancements to existing Recs.

  7. Lead SG on Access Network Transport • Mandate • Define, maintain overall framework (other SGs, SDOs, Forums/Consortia) • Own Questions • Coordinate, assign and prioritize work in other SGs • Consistent, complete, timely standards • Implementation • ANT Standardization Overview (who, what, when) • ANT Standards Work Plan (holes, lack of progress, priorities) • Provide ‘value added’ http://www.itu.int/itudoc/itu-t/com15/ant/index.html
