The EU REDD Facility aims to enhance support for developing countries by improving forest governance and advancing REDD+ initiatives. Building on lessons from existing FLEGT projects, the Facility focuses on capacity building, adaptive planning, and quick delivery of assistance. With an initial budget of €3M, the Facility seeks to promote synergies between REDD+ and FLEGT, while ensuring that the needs of partner countries are prioritized. This collaborative effort will strengthen the EU’s commitment to sustainable forestry and climate change mitigation.
