  1. MAT Syllabus The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national-level entrance test for admission into more than 600 B Schools. In the year 2003, MAT was approved by the Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD as a national level test. MAT is usually conducted 4 times a year - February, May, September, and December. Candidates can take the MAT exam in any of the modes given below: ●Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (IBT) ●Double Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (IBT) ●Paper-Based Test (PBT) ●Paper-Based Test and Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (PBT+IBT) ●Double Paper Based Test (PBT) ●Computer Based Test (CBT) ●Computer Based Test and Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (CBT+IBT) ●Paper-Based Test and Computer Based Test (PBT+CBT) The MAT exam consists of 5 sections with a total of 200 questions. The duration of the exam is 150 minutes. Each question has four options out of which the candidate has to choose the correct one.   2. Indian & Global Environment 40 15 Total 200 150 Note: All questions carry equal marks and there is negative marking for the wrong answer. The marking pattern is however not given in the official website but based on previous year trends it has been seen that +1 mark is awarded for every correct response and -0.25 marks is deducted for every incorrect response. Section-wise MAT Syllabus The candidates need to check the section-wise MAT Syllabus. It is to be noted that AIMA does not prescribe a syllabus for MAT. This section consists of questions from Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability.   3. Intelligence & Critical Reasoning MAT Syllabus This section consists of 40 questions to be attempted in 30 minutes. This section tests the candidate’s analytical and reasoning ability. The detailed syllabus of Intelligence and Critical Reasoning section is given below: Blood Relations Clocks Statement-Argument Arrangement Syllogism Puzzles Direction sense Critical Reasoning Coding & Decoding Visual Reasoning Series Course of Action Mathematical Skills MAT Syllabus This section comprises a total of 40 questions to be attempted in 40 minutes. The candidates need to remember the shortcuts for solving the questions as it would save their time.   5. Indian & Global Environment MAT Syllabus The Indian & Global Environment section comprises 40 questions. Candidates will be provided with 15 minutes to attempt this section.
