Understanding Chevening Scholarship Chevening scholarship is mainly for Master’s programs Chevening is an international scholarship programme established by the government of the United Kingdom and funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations. It started in 1983, and more than 50,000 professionals have studied in the UK through Chevening. It is a fully-funded scholarship. The Master’s course needs to be of 1 year duration Option 1: Apply for same course at 3 UK universities and then the scholarship Option2: Apply for 3 different courses at the same UK university and then the scholarship © AH&Z Associates Ltd. 2020 3

  7. Do You Qualify for Chevening Scholarship? The selection criteria for Chevening Scholarship are aimed to identify "high-calibre graduates with the personal, intellectual and interpersonal qualities necessary for leadership." ? Education Nationality You must have completed your undergraduate degree. You must be the citizen of a Chevening- eligible country. Work Experience Application You have applied to three universities in the UK and received at least 1 offer letter.   8. Do You Qualify for Chevening Scholarship? The Chevening scheme is more comparable to the US Fulbright Scholarships. Winners of Chevening scholarships often receive coverage in local and national newspapers. ? Agreement British Nationals You should return to your home country for at least two years after scholarship ends.
