  3. LEAD You always lead us to lunch. LED My mom led the way to the funeral on Saturday. LEAD OMG!!!!!!!!!! How do she expect for me to do my work if my pencil lead is broken?

  4. Mnemonics • You can think about led for went first. The ed in led will help you remember the word because the ed is past tense. • For lead you can just think about the ea in heavy metal. That’s the way you’ll never get confused about any of these words.
