  2. How to do Re-registration? Re-registration is a mandatory procedure that is to be followed by private vehicles. According to the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, private vehicles are to be re-registered at the end of 15 years and continue after 5 years. • Form 25 has to be filled up • Registration Certificate in original form must be collected • The Pollution Certificate is also important • The Valid Insurance Certificate must also be provided • Following which, the Vehicle must be showcased before the registering authority for inspection. • Pay the Re-registration Fee at the cash counter and collect the receipt. • Now the New Registration Certificate is issued by the department.

  3. The time duration given for re-registration of vehicles for migration of the vehicle from other states is just 12 months. This 1 year time is from the date of arrival into Karnataka state. • If it is not applied within 11 months, then the vehicle is submitted to the Jurisdictional Regional Transport Officer at the same time the change in address or ownership transfer must be recorded on the registration certificate. The Cost of re-registration of the vehicle in Karnataka is very nominal and is not a big burden too.

  4. Which documents you have to submit for Re-registration of your vehicle? • 1. Basically, without NOC (No Objection Certificate) none will start within 45 minutes. • 2. This NOC is to be filled in form CMV28 or if you have an acknowledgment copy shared through the postal service. If you have the already got the not, just submit it. • 3. Registration certificate (RC Book). • 4. Tax Card. • 5. Insurance certificate. • 6. Consent of the Financier (if applicable). • 7. Pollution Under Control Certificate. • 8. Fitness Certificate and permit in case of transport vehicles. • 9. Prescribed fees and difference of tax if any. • 10. Three passport size photographs of the applicant. • 11. The vehicle shall be produced for inspection on the premises of the R.T.O. If it was not inspected earlier.

  5. I suppose you don’t receive your NOC within 30 days, then you can submit a copy of the form no. 28 applied, along with the postal acknowledgment. A declaration must be given as “the application for NOC has neither been rejected nor any reply received from the previous registering authority” for the concerned owner. After complete verification of the details and documents, the new registration mark would be given. Though the Cost of re-registration of a vehicle in Karnataka differs it in the reasonable range. • All the approved documents would be given back after two days of submission between 4.30 pm and 5.30 pm. It is always important to check with section number 47, 48 of Motor Vehicles Act, RULE 52 of Central Motor Vehicles Rules. • Thus, the Cost of re-registration of a vehicle in Karnataka and Re-registration of the vehicle; both these factors coincide with each other to complete the Re-registration of vehicle process in Karnataka.
