(ZTT) to begin our brokerage department • 2001 • Strong wins Oregon’s 529 Plan • Strong wins Wisconsin’s 529 Plan - EdVest • Over 1400 associates • Assets under management are over $45 billion • 39th largest mutual fund family among 661 firms based on assets

  5. Investments • Make decisions regarding purchase and sale of securities for the mutual funds and separately managed accounts. • Investment Teams • Portfolio Manager • Research Analyst • Trader • Public Relations

Institutional Client Services • Responsible for developing and servicing clients in all non-retail distribution channels • Clients: • Intermediary Channels • Consultants, broker-dealers, insurance companies, banks, and financial advisors, etc. • Institutions with separately managed accounts • Corporations, unions, government agencies, endowments, hospitals, etc.

Retirement Plan Services • Provides investment options, recordkeeping, and participant education services for retirement plans • Customers: • Small businesses, large corporations, and non-profit groups • Types of plans • 403(b), SIMPLE, Keogh, 401(k) • Some use Strong mutual funds and recordkeeping services while others use only the Strong Investment products

Retail Services • Sells and services brokerage accounts and direct mutual funds to the general public • Retail Marketing • Promotes the Strong Funds and StrongOne through direct mail, TV ads and print ads in newspapers and magazines • Sales and Service • Internet, telephone, and walk-in branches • Specialty Teams • Retirement assistance, answers to procedural questions, specialized attention for higher net worth clients, and brokerage services • Strong Advisor Team • Manage mutual fund portfolios for clients with $100,000 or more • Private Client Team • Manage stock, bond and mutual fund portfolios for clients with $1 million or more

Information Technology • Provide desktop PC support, network server administration, and maintaining internal telecommunications systems • Develop software programs such as the portfolio reporting systems and customer problem tracking • Purchase, integrate, and support software such as the payroll system • Business and technology process improvements • Ensure the firm has state-of-the-art technology to meet its business demands

  10. Legal • Responsible for the firm’s corporate legal requirements and all compliance issues relating to the firm and the mutual funds • Acts as liaison between the firm and outside regulatory agencies • Handles all NASD registrations for Strong associates

Operations • Process all transactions and account maintenance requests relating to Mutual Fund accounts, 401 (k) accounts, and Brokerage accounts • Complete transactions and adjust already processed transactions by troubleshooting and obtaining additional information throughout the process • Other Services • Research and record filing of all investor transactions • Interoffice mail system • Distribution of incoming mail throughout the firm • Printing and sending outgoing mail to investors

Responsible for the financial planning and accounting activities of Strong Other responsibilities: General ledger accounting Accounts payable Periodic financial reporting Internal cash management Budgeting & analysis of operations Corporate banking liaison Provides accounting framework for meeting regulatory and financial requirements of the mutual funds Prepares semi-annual and annual financial reports for investors and provides accounting services for separately managed accounts Tax planning, preparation, reporting, and compliance for Strong Capital Management, Strong Funds, and other investment products under management Corporate Finance & Investment Accounting

Human Resources • Attract, develop, and retain the right people while providing an environment that supports Strong’s core values and allows associates to succeed • Responsible for associate recordkeeping, employment functions, associate relations, benefit programs, policy information and compensation • Strong University • Facilitates professional and personal learning opportunities for all associates

  14. Corporate Services • Responsible for maintaining and managing the day-to-day operational needs of the firm • Maintain all grounds and outdoor parking structures • Assist in word processing business correspondence needs • Provide concierge services through Associate Services
