What I learn from PR 2.0 • PR 2.0 is the emergence of Public Relations and the Internet with potential to change how communications professionals reach customers and online communities with social media strategies. • PR 2.0 breaks the traditional mold and allows communications professionals to think, react and promote in a whole new way. • Today’s audiences are citizen journalists in social communities that are connected across the Internet.
Suprises • I was surprised to see how Public Relations was actually effected by the social media networks. • Never realize that growing up in the Public Relations 2.0 Era gives me an advantage once I get into Public Relations skills.
Recommendation • I would definitely recommend this book to another student because its gives the student a better outlook on how effective P.R. really is in the 21st century. • It also teaches students how to use the power of technology and a whole new range of social media resources to join in the new marketing mix. • PR 2.0 breaks the traditional mold and allows communications professionals to think, react and promote in a whole new way.
What do you want to learn more about, now that this book has piqued your interest? • Since Public Relations has taken a bigger role in the all aspects of the marketing mix I’m interested to see how much Public Relations evolves in the digital age. • I also would like to keep track of how new social networks can effect the of Public Relations in the future.
