Absolute Value Inequalities • Absolute value inequalities are solved in the same way linear inequalities are solved. • Change the inequality to an equality and solve. • Plot the solution on a real number line and select test numbers (points) from each region defined by the solutions. • Substitute the test points into the original inequality and shade the regions that make the inequality true. • Write your solutions sets (shaded regions) using interval notation.
