3. Dominic Lamb was called to the Ontario Bar in 2001. He received his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 1999 and his B.A. (Hons.) from Brock University in 1996. In 2003, Mr. Lamb started his own criminal defence practice. He joined Edelson Clifford D’Angelo LLP in 2009. Mr. Lamb’s practice covers all manner of cases that come before the criminal courts, from mischief to murder. He has represented clients at the Ontario and Superior Courts of Justice, the Federal Court of Canada and at public inquiries. Mr. Lamb believes that the criminal defence lawyer is the bulwark that stands between the individual and the power of the state. Persons facing criminal prosecution are almost inevitably at their most vulnerable and as such, their cases demand rigorous and continuous attention. 4. Dominic is actively involved with the local bar and is currently the Vice-President of the Defence Counsel Association of Ottawa. He has lectured on criminal law topics at the University of Ottawa Law School, at Carleton University and for visiting foreign jurists. He has been a member of the planning committee for the DCAO/CCLA Criminal Law Conference for the past five years, organizing and presenting at that conference each year.
