Growth Prospects & Growth Trends in Indian Avionics Engineering Sector India has become the third-largest domestic aviation market in the world and is expected to overtake the UK to become the third-largest air passenger market by 2024. Indian aviation also contributed 5% of the GDP, creating a total of 4 million jobs. In addition to it, there is a US$ 72 billion gross value-added contribution to GDP by this industry. [Source: National Investment Promotion & Facilitation Agency] In India, remarkable growth has been noticed in the sphere of civil aviation. The speed and carrying capacity of modern aircraft are providing commendable and far beyond what we used to experience decades ago. India is already among the top 10 aviation markets, serving over 83 million domestic passengers annually, and the volume of air traffic, both in terms of passengers and goods, is growing at a good pace. The UDAN scheme is driving the growth of civil aviation resulting in better connectivity and infrastructure in India The number of airplanes is expected to grow to 1,100 planes by 2027 To cater to the rising air traffic, the Government of India has been working towards increasing the number of airports. India to become global hub for Aerospace Engineering, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) More world class Airports are being built in B tire cities through PPP (Public Private Partnership). Growth Prospects & Growth Trends in Space Sector was valued at USD 9.6 Bn in 2020, contributes 2%-3% of the global space economy. The size of the sector is expected to reach USD 13 Bn by 2025, and by 2030 India further aims to capture a larger share of close to 10% of the global economy.[Source: National Investment Promotion & Facilitation Agency] India is one of the top 5 space-faring countries in the world, with numerous space opportunities. India is renowned for producing affordable satellites and launch vehicles. The estimated value of the worldwide space economy is US$ 440 billion.

  2. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) course is offered by very few institutes like WCAT Pune and deals with the maintenance, upgrade and quality assurance of aircraft. It is a licensed course and has been approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). A flight attendant, also known as steward/stewardess or Cabin Crew/ Airhostess, is a member of the aircrew aboard collectively called as Cabin Crew.
