  4. Students in Barbara Davis’s sculpture class work on a panel entitled: “Remembrance”

  5. Aluminum Casting

  6. Leveling the stand for the moulds.

  7. Explaining each step in the process.

  8. Coating each mould in graphite and alcohol.

  9. Burning off the graphite

  10. All classes K-12 were invited to come out during the day to watch.

  17. Moving over to the moulds

  18. Pouring aluminum into each mould across the stand.

  19. It doesn’t look so hot…. but it is!!

  20. High School Principal Susan Martelli watches as the molten metal is poured.

  21. Moving the moulds over to the grass to cool. Another set will get loaded on the stand for the next pour.

  22. Emptying out the moulds.

  23. Water buckets to cool them off.

  24. The process continues all day long.

  25. No classes today!!!
