What is the PM-KISAN Scheme?

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, also known as PM-KISAN, is a central government programme that offers income support to all landholding farmer families in the nation in order to meet their additional financial needs for purchasing various inputs for agriculture and related activities as well as for domestic needs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the PM­KISAN program on 24 February 2019 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Under the scheme, all small and medium­scale farmers will be given a subsidy of Rs.6,000 per annum in three installments which will be deposited directly into their bank accounts. The total annual cost of this program is expected to be Rs.75,000 crore to be funded by the Union Government. Provide income support to all eligible farmers who own land and their families. The PM­KISAN program aims to supplement the financial needs of farmers with a variety of inputs to ensure good crop health and optimal yields, in line with farm income. The program aims to increase the inclusion of PM­KISAN by 14.5 crores beneficial. It aims to cover about 2 crores more farmers at an average cost of Rs. 87,217.50 crores to be funded by Central Government. Schemes Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is also called PM Kisan Program which helps the small and marginal farmers. 1. It is a 100% subsidy program from the Central Government of India and implemented by the Department of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare. 2. Launched in December 2018, the program initially provides income support to all small and medium­scale farmers. The program was rolled out to all farmers in May 2019. 3. The Union budget is allocated Rs 75,000 crore for the program by 2021. 4. The program is expected to increase the distribution to an estimated 14.5 million beneficiaries, 80­85 percent of which are smallholder farmers and farmers with less than two hectares of land. You can also check: Agneepath Scheme Eligibility Below is the list of the categories that are not eligible for the Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi Yojana: 1. Past and present holders of constitutional posts. 2. Former and present mayors of Municipal Corporations 3.  Any kind of institutional land­holders 4. Former or present member of Rajya Sabha, Lok Sabha, State legislature, etc. 5. Any person who paid their income tax in the last assessment year. 6. All retired individual who gets a pension of Rs. 10,000 or more. 7. Former and present chairpersons and District Panchayats 8. Former and present ministers/ state ministers. Benefits Direct cash transactions are one of the major benefits of this program. On December 25, 2020, before Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rs.18,000 crores were transferred to the 9 crore farmers' bank accounts. All farmer­related records are registered officially on the digital platform which has made it easy to register and transfer funds. Digital records have ushered in a new era of social justice

E­KYC Process PM Kisan KYC's last day is extended. The last day to connect your Aadhar Card with PM Kisan Yojana is May 31, 2022. Aadhar­based Self KYC via Mobile Number OTP has been suspended. Now, you will need to complete biometric­based verification by visiting your nearest CSC Center. PM Kisan's 11th installment date has not been decided. Installment can be credited to your account at any time during April 2022. Adhar Card Failure Use the link added below to the official website. Scroll down to 'Farmer's Corner'. Then click "Set Aadhar Failure Record". You will be redirected to a new page. Enter the required information such as Aadhar Number and other specified information. Then click the Search button. After that, you will be able to edit the Aadhar Number.
