  13. Conclusion • Explanation for each cards chosen: • Cisco 4-Port OC-3 POS SPA • We decided to choose this card over the others available because it supports four OC-3 ports in a half card and we will have available ports for future expansions. • Cisco 4-Port Channelized T3 SPA • For this type of connectionwedecided to go with 4 ports for future expansion and weonlyhadtwo options: the 4-port channelized T3 SPA and 4-port clearchannel T3/E3 SPA • We chose the 4-port channelizedbecause the itisunnecessary to have support for E3 ports (E3 ports are used in European countries). • Cisco Express Forwarding 256 10/100/1000 Interface Module • This card supports the remainingrequirements for thisproject, and leave 8 empty ports for future expansion. • 8 T1 Ethernets -- twisted pair Cat 5 • 30 100baseT networks • 2 1000baseT uplinks to The Internet
