  1. 5 LG Refrigerator Problems And it's Solutions TEMPERATURE The most frequent LG refrigerator repair is temperature problems. Make sure the settings are correct and adjust them if they are too high or low. Inspect the condenser coils to find dirt and dust, and clear them using a vacuum. Condenser and evaporator fan are free of obstructions and can freely spin. If one of them isn't spinning quickly or is noisy it is time to replace the motor. LG FRIDGE NOISE PROBLEMS If your fridge is noisy The most likely reason is due to a fan blade. Verify that the evaporator as well as condenser fans are spinning freely. The motor of the evaporator fan is another frequent LG refrigerator repair. If it's loud and even more so when the door of the refrigerator is open, it needs to be replaced. WATER DISPENSER If the water does not dispense then disconnect the water pipe at the one end and attempt blowing it. If there is no air passing through, it's plugged with the ice. Make sure the freezer is temperature between 0degF and 10degF. The valve for water inlet is a different issue that is frequently encountered. Examine the continuity and replace it if damaged. LG FREEZER PROBLEMS Issues with icemakers and defrost are freezer-related issues. If the defrost sensor isn't working you should test the control board, the defrost heater, and thermostat for defrost using the multimeter. The thermostat for defrost is a different problem. It is responsible for monitoring the evaporator coil temperature and regulates the defrost process. ICE DISPENSER Examine each switch in the dispenser for continuity in the event that the ice maker isn't functioning. Examine the actuator of the dispenser. If damaged, replace it. Make sure the motor of the auger spins and check it using an instrument. The solenoid of the dispenser will open and close to close the door. If the solenoid is defective then replace it.
