Updated Volunteer Procedures • Under the updated District policy, all VOLUNTEERS are required to: • Complete Volunteer Application http://bit.ly/SPS-Volunteering  (annually) • Complete Screening Form for background check (WATCH) http://tiny.cc/screeningform  (annually) • Read and sign Volunteer Handbook http://tiny.cc/volhandbook  (annually) • Complete the online video course “Adult Sexual Misconduct” http://tiny.cc/asmsps  (only once – at the end of the training you will print off a certificate verifying you have completed the course) • Read the Volunteer Policy. 5630 (Volunteers). http://tiny.cc/Policy5630  (annually) • Volunteer vs Visitor • Support here tonight and in the office • 10/31 goal: All Wedgwood Volunteers have completed the requirements • Moving to “Annual” at Wedgwood being June to June – “Pre-Approved” over the summer

Assessment: Smarter Balance (SBAC) • Cognitive Rigor/Depth Of Knowledge (DOK) • Questions asking students to demonstrate a depth of knowledge cognitively deeper that on previous tests. • Test Format Changes • Computer Based & Performance Task • Technology – Keyboarding • Training students to access the test format • Untested form of assessing mastery of Common Core • States using the new assessment are seeing a score recalibration based on the new assessment • Whole-Staff training in the Fall/ Parent Presentation in the Early Spring
