  8. Materials in the ESL Class • Books, books, and more books • ESL adoption – our district uses Avenues. Which ever one you adopted, there are many great aspects of the adoption.

ESL Endorsement • At our schools (elementary) it is an expectation that teachers will work on their ESL endorsement. • At the middle and high schools, subject area teachers are also encouraged by principals. • Two ESL TExES reviews per year – one on each side of the district. • District office pays for workbooks, test and certification (once complete). Title III money is used for this.
