Secure Mental Health Service Hospitals • High Secure environment delivered by a Specialist Forensic Team aimed at providing a level suitable for public protection • Special Authority Commissioned Special Hospitals e.g. Broadmoor • Delivered by a Specialist Forensic Team aimed at providing a level suitable for public protection • Usually following a court appearance or part of rehabilitation step down from special hospitals • PCT Commissioned (BHFT) Medium Secure e.g. MSU Oxford • Delivered by a Specialist Forensic Team aimed at people presenting with behavior at a level of risk greater than general mental health services could safely address • PCT Commissioned (BHFT) Low Secure e.g. Thornford Park
