It has

Modems and how they work!
  • MODEM is an acronym for MODulator/DEModulator.
  • Developed for transmitting and receiving data over the standard telephone lines.
  • Data rates up to 56.6K baud.
  • Automatic speed detection, Data compression, etc.
what is an intelligent modem

It has

What is an Intelligent Modem?

where can they be applied

It has

Where can they be applied?
  • Applications range from On-Line maintenance to automatic failure reporting.
  • Any Remote Telemetry application, requiring control and monitoring of data between out-stations.
on line maintenance applications
On-line maintenance Applications
  • On-line maintenance only requires a PC, DESK-MODEM and A2S/DIN modem connected to the remote PLC.
  • When on line the PLC or HMI can be monitored or reprogrammed using the normal software.
  • The ASVD allows full voice communication at the same time.
