How are we going to review for the ILS Exam? • ALL 43 Minutes of Class counts! • Preliminary ILS Exams – ALL Count (April 19 & 21) (April 29 & 30) (May 13 & 14) • Homework EVERY NIGHT and signed by your parent. • Homework must be handed in by 8 AM when done on scan-tron • Late Homework will not be accepted • Quiz EVERY DAY! Practical ILS Exam Date: May 22 or 23 ILS Exam Date: June 3 THE ILS is 20% of your FINAL GRADE

  5. How can we describe the internal structures (organelles) of the cell? Controls what goes in and out of the cell • Cell membrane - • Cell Wall - • Cytoplasm - • Nucleus - • Mitochondria - • Chloroplast - • Vacuole - Gives plant cells its shape. Protects the cell Jelly-like substance found inside of cells Controls ALL cell activities “Powerhouse” of cell – makes energy Makes food during photosynthesis Stores food and waste

  13. Why do cells go through mitosis? • To heal your skin • To build and repair body tissue • To grow
