  3. 400d galaxy cluster survey Clusters are detected in X-rays and then identified in optical with RTT150 ROSAT 0.5-2 keV image clusters point sources RTT150, R band, cluster at z=0.7

  4. 400d galaxy cluster survey • The largest catalog of distant massive clusters • The volume at 0.3<z<0.1 is comparable to that of Abell catalog in local Universe • RTT150 is the main telescope used for direct imaging in the North http://hea.iki.rssi.ru/400d/ Burenin et al. 2007, ApJS

  23. What can be done with RTT150? Initial selection of the samples of various objects should be made using the data of wide field imaging surveys. With ground based telescopes we will mostly need to obtain spectroscopic identifications and redshift measurements. Few examples: ...

  24. Galaxy clusters Clusters are identified in X-rays as extended sources

  25. Galaxy clusters, photometric redshifts ... are not very good for high precision cosmology.

  26. Galaxy clusters, redshift distribution Only ~3000 clusters in massive clusters subsample remain. Redshifts for half of them (z<~0.4) can be effectively measured with RTT150 — very significant and valuable contribution in Dark Energy studies based on SRG All Sky Survey.

  27. Active galactic nuclei The majority of faint point sources — AGNs. ~3000000 AGNs in SRG All-Sky Survey!

  28. Active galactic nuclei • Optical spectroscopy of well defined subsamples will be required: • Obscured AGNs in local Universe • Type 2 QSO at high redshift • High redshift QSO

  29. Active galactic nuclei Selection with Art-XC in hard X-rays: Obscured AGNs --

  30. High redshift quasars SDSS, Fan et al., 1999 ~100 high redshift QSO at z=~6 in SRG All-Sky Survey. RTT have a chance to discover the most luminous QSOs in Universe!

  31. Cataclysmic Variables • In SRG survey an unbiased sample of ~1000 CV will be discovered, including large amount of faint compact systems. • Tests of stellar evolution models • SN Ia • Gravitational waves SDSS — ~100 CV (Gansicke et al., 2009)

  32. X-ray binaries SRG survey of the Galactic Plane --- completely unexplored range of XRB luminosities!

  33. Conclusions • The observations with RTT150 telescope currently allow to obtain very interesting scientific results in different fields. • RTT150 will provide very important and valuable ground support for SRG All-Sky X-ray Survey. • Therefore, RTT150 should be considered as highly successful project with very exciting perspectives. Our existing collaboration should be continued in future.
