  4. Guidelines for demo capture • 3-5 min for each demonstration • Check out previous AIPs for what is expected. • http://www.ogcnetwork.net/pub/ogcnetwork/GEOSS/AIP4/index.html • http://www.ogcnetwork.net/pub/ogcnetwork/GEOSS/AIP3/index.html • http://www.ogcnetwork.net/pub/ogcnetwork/GEOSS/AIP2/index.html • http://www.ogcnetwork.net/AIPdemos • Directions for screen capture on next pages: • Creating the videos is facilitated by first creating a Narrative Script and a Storyboard • Speakers are available to read script for recording • Find a quiet room or a closet to prevent echos • Powerpoint template provided in later pages of this presentation should be used for any graphics in the video • Specifications and software specs follow • Contacts for additional information • Nadine Alameh nalameh@opengeospatial.org • Bart de Lathouwer bdelathouwer@opengeospatial.org

  5. Demo capture software specifications • Use whatever capture software you'd like, but deliver the video in MPEG4 (mp4) with H.264 encoding for video and mp3 or aac for audio. (Alternate encoding is.avi movies with H.264 encoding) • wmv can be problematic for non-Windows software • Resolution: 1280 x 720 (aspect ration 16/9) • For final delivery • If you’re using Camtasia, bundle the whole project and post to ftp director (username/password to be provided) • Resolution: 1280x720, 16/9 ratio • Software for screen capture we have used: • Camtasia • Camtasia wants to use its tscc encoder, but that then requires their codec as well to view or recoder. It can save to .mov, however. • For MAC, you can use Camtasia for Mac or IShowU or ScreenFlow • For Linux, try RecordMyDesktop or xvidcap
