CHAPTER 1606 Selected Reserve ELIGIBILITY - You must meet the following criteria to qualify: • six year obligation to serve in the Selected Reserve • complete your Initial Active Duty for Training (IADT) • serve in a drilling Selected Reserve unit and remain in good standing NOTE: The MGIB-SR does not require service in the active Armed Forces to qualify. Benefit: Up to 36 months stipend Full time 12 credits or more - $337.00 Three-Quarter 9-11 credits - $252.00 Half-time 6-8 credits - $167.00 Less than ½ - $84.25 Rates as of 10/01/2010

CHAPTER 1607 REAP ELIGIBILITY: You must meet the following criteria to qualify You may be eligible if you are a member of a Reserve component called or ordered to active duty, for at least 90 days, in response to a war or national emergency (contingency operation) as declared by the President or Congress. Benefit: Up to 36 months stipend based on certified credit hours and time served Rates as of 10/01/2010

  7. CHAPTER 30MGIB-AD ELIGIBILITY - You must meet the following criteria to qualify: The VA establishes 4 categories of eligibility for CH 30 GI Bill (MGIB-AD). For details visit the VA web site: http://www.gibill.va.gov/post-911/montgomery-gi-bill/active-duty.html Benefit: Up to 36 months stipend based on certified credit hours and military obligation.

  9. CHAPTER 31VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY - Eligibility is determined by VA Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors. The primary function of the Vocational Rehabilitation program is to help veterans with service-connected disabilities become suitably employed and maintain employment. Benefit: Monthly stipend based on certified credit hours and dependents. For rates and further information visit the VA web site http://www.vba.va.gov/bln/vre/.

CHAPTER 35Survivors and Dependents Educational Assistance ELIGIBILITY - To be eligible for Chapter 35 (DEA) program you must be the son, daughter or spouse of : • · A veteran who died or is permanently and totally disabled as the result of a service-connected disability. The disability must arise out of active service. • · A veteran who died from any cause while such service-connected disability was in existence. • · A servicemember missing in action or captured in line of duty by a hostile force. • · A servicemember forcibly detained or interned in line of duty by a foreign government or power. • · A servicemember who is hospitalized or receiving outpatient treatment for a service connected, permanent and total disability and is likely to be discharged for that disability. Benefits: Monthly stipend up to 48 months Full time 12 credits or more - $936.00 Three-Quarter 9-11 credits - $702.00 Half-time 6-8 credits - $466.00 Less than ½ time more than ¼ - Tuition and fees not to exceed $466.00 ¼ time or less – Tuition and fees not to exceed $234.00 Rates as of 10/01/2010

  11. Chapter 33 – Post 9/11 GI BillThe Post 9/11 GI Bill is available to servicemembers with at least 90 days of aggregate active duty service on or after September 11, 2011. BENEFITS MAY INCLUDE: ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for 100% of the benefit, you must have served 36 months active duty time, or have been discharged for a service-connected disability after 30 days of continuous service. Note: Active-duty time required by graduates of a Service Academy or ROTC does not count toward the three years necessary to qualify for full benefits. For those with fewer than 36 months, the percentage of benefit ranges from 40% to 90% based on time served. • payment of all in-state tuition and fees, Effective August 1, 2011. • payment of private school costs up to $17,500 annually. • a monthly housing allowance • $1,000 per year stipend for books and supplies • college fund (“kicker”) payments • a rural benefit payment • a Yellow Ribbon benefit
