  1. More than 371,500 babies were born worldwide, India records highest number of babies born on New Year's Day

In excess of 371,500 infants were brought into the world worldwide on New Year's Day and India is assessed to have recorded the most noteworthy number of births at around 60,000, as indicated by the UN's youngsters' office. UNICEF said that an expected 371,504 children were conceived the world over on New Year's Day. Fiji in the Pacific was projected to have invited 2021's first child while the United States would invite its last.
