  4. Activity • In groups of 2, use a WHITE BOARD to answer to following question. • Megan Jones is vacationing on the Philippine island of Boracayand decides to go Parasailing. If the boat wants to keep her 50 feet behind the boat, and 100 feet in the air, how much rope must they let out? 2. Be prepared to share with the class.

  5. Activity • In groups of 2, use a WHITE BOARD to answer to following question. • After Megan is done parasailing, she decides to sit on the beach. If she is sitting 13 horizontal feet from the water, and 6 feet above the level of the sea, will she get wet if the waves go up the beach 8 feet? 2. Be prepared to share with the class.

Activity • In groups of 2, use a WHITE BOARD to answer to following question. • After Megan is done sitting on the beach she decides to hike back to her hotel room on a trail that goes to the top of a hill. If the trail has a distance of 200 feet and gains 100 feet in elevation, what is the horizontal distance from the beach to the top of the hill? 2. Be prepared to share with the class.
