  1. Series and Parallel Circuit Lab Instructions

  2. Instructions for Series Circuit Lab • Wire 2 bulb series circuit • Test to make sure it is a series circuit by unscrewing one of the bulbs. If the other one goes out, it is a series circuit. • Draw diagram on folded section of paper using symbols from notes. • Using a red pencil use arrows to show direction of flow on diagram • Make 3 additional different circuits. Change order or direction of flow to make a different circuit. Consider adding a third bulb to see if it dims all the bulbs. • Write a description of a series circuit and a test to perform at the bottom of the page.

  3. Instruction for Parallel Lab • Wire 2 bulb Parallel circuit • Test to make sure it is a Parallel circuit by unscrewing one of the bulbs. • Draw diagram on folded section of paper using symbols from notes. • Using a red pencil use arrows to show direction of flow on each diagram. • Make 3 additional different circuits. Change order or direction of flow to make a different circuit. • Compare and contrast Series and Parallel circuits in terms of their construction, function, test and uses.
