Lunch Pre-ordering System

Introducing a pre-ordering system for packed lunches in The City and County of Swansea Catering Service. This system aims to reduce queues, ensure availability of preferred food items, and provide convenience for lunchtime club participants and those who dislike waiting in queues. Pre-order forms can be obtained from the canteen and must be filled and paid for in advance. Packed lunches can be collected between 12:40-1:00 pm in the school hall or kept in the canteen for club participants. Unclaimed meals will be discarded to prevent waste. Pre-ordering starts on September 4th.

  2. WHY DO WE NEED A NEW SYSTEM? • To help reduce the queues for food at lunchtime. • To make sure that pupils get the food that they really want.

  3. WHO IS IT FOR? • If you take part in a lunchtime club and find that when you finish it, all the nice foods are gone, then this system is FOR YOU! • If you just do not want to stand in the queue at lunchtime, maybe in the rain, then this system is FOR YOU!

  4. HOW DOES IT WORK? • You will be able to pick up a pre-order form from the canteen between 8-15 and 8-40am every morning or at break time in the canteen or on the serving trolley. • You can fill the form in straight away or take the form away with you and fill it in. • You will have to pay for your lunch in advance in the canteen / at the trolley.

  6. HOW DOES IT WORK? • The order forms are dated and numbered and will only be accepted for that day. • You will be given the small tear off section as your proof you have paid. Do Not Lose It - no slip – no food! • The packed lunch will be available to pick up from 12.40 -1.00 in the school hall.

  7. If you are in a club / activity and cannot pick it up in the allotted time in the school hall, it will be kept for you in the canteen until the end of lunchtime. • If you forget, to pick up the food and it has not been collected by the end of lunch – the food will be thrown away.

  8. Pre - ordering will start on Thursday September 4th for Friday lunchtime distribution.
