  25. Reflections: • Cell Leaders given lesson to be taught weekly. • Prayer & Bible teaching is focus in the cells. Newspaper publishes the teaching. • Quite cognitive, but cells evangelize heavily.

  26. Reflections: • Very few men’s cells. • 18,000 are for women, 4,000 are for youth & children. • Began when Korean women were not employed. Cells met Thursday mornings. • The cells are now struggling

  28. HISTORY • Dr. Neighbour began to experiment in 1970: “The People Who Care” • West Memorial Baptist Church pioneered. • Built to equip all believers & evangelize the unchurched.

  29. HISTORY • 1974: Further developed in Singapore. • 1975: Visited Cho’s church. • Revisions followed. • Focus changed to “body life” in cells; edification stressed.

  30. HISTORY • 1977-1980: Further developed back in church in Houston. • 1980: TOUCH began developing equipping materials. • 1990: 600 member church in Singapore adopted the pattern. • 1994: 7,000 members, all in cells. • 1995-1997: Training all over earth.

  31. HISTORY • Basic equipping track: “The Year of Equipping.” • ACT: Advanced Cell Training • CellChurch Magazine. • Has taught geographical cell structures. • Now learning about the “GROUPS OF 12” Model.

  32. WHAT MAY CHANGE? • Discipleship materials may be slightly revised, but can work in the “Groups of 12” model. • Two major revisions: group multiplication and leadership development.

  36. OBJECTIVE To evangelize all of Colombia and see a Cell Church planted in every town in the nation.

  40. Thus . . . The Bogota model may have more Cell Groups than any other church in the world—and they are only in their sixth year of developing the model.

  41. LEADER OF TWELVE HOW IT WORKS Each one of the twelve has been developed by the Leader in a Cell Group. They have emerged as committed workers.

  42. LEADER OF TWELVE HOW IT WORKS Each of the twelve develops up to three Cell Groups. The goal is to find twelve leaders who will launch Cells.

  43. LEADER OF TWELVE HOW IT WORKS 12 X 12=144144 X 12= 1,728 people, or about 172 Cells in just three generations!

  44. TRADITIONAL CELLis a “5x5” or Jethro Model With Clear-Cut Titles and Levels.

  46. The Equipping Track • Enters the Cell, taken at once on an Encuentro (Deliverance) Retreat. • The church is building multiple Retreat Centers for this purpose.

  47. The Equipping Track • Personally tutored through Discipleship Classes, a 3-month study. • Weekly class attended • Involved in witnessing • Intimate Cell life in C.A.F.E. Groups

  48. The Equipping Track • After 3 months, taken to second EncuentroRetreat. • Trained to launch a Cell. • Seeks to develop from 1-3 Cells; sponsors others to start cells. • Attends own Cell weekly. • Seeks to become part of a “Group of Twelve.”

  49. The Equipping Track • Develops from 1-3 Cells. • Seeks to enlist twelve and become a Leader of Twelve. • Continues to win at least one person per month, placed in one of the Cells.

  50. The Equipping Track • Requirement for going on staff full time: must have developed and supervised a chain of 500 Cells! • Teens are all a part of this strategy. • 48,000 weekly in services.
