  1. Portable CD Player/Radio PLEASE NOTE: AC line cord has been removed and AC power function has been disabled for safety reasons. Battery use only. ✓Remove the batteries when you do not plan to use the unit for a month or more. ✓Only connect one switch at a time. Connecting two switches may cause the CD Player/Radio to malfunction. TROUBLESHOOTING Operation: 1. Use alkaline batteries only (e.g. Duracell or Energizer brand). Do not use rechargeable batteries or any other type of batteries because they supply lower voltage and the unit will not perform properly. Never mix old and new batteries together or different brands or types together. Ensure batteries are installed correctly. – to – and + to +. Problem: The CD player does not function •Check batteries to ensure they are inserted correctly and be sure to use fresh batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries or weak batteries. •Keep mobile phones and other electrical appliances far away from the unit. Such appliances may cause noise interference or play may stop entirely. •Be sure the FUNCTION button is set to “CD”. •Make sure you only have one switch connected to the portable CD at a time. •If a CD skips it may need cleaning. Wipe off any fingerprints with a soft cloth. To operate the CD player: 1.Slide the “FUNCTION” to the position marked “CD”. Insert the CD as directed in the manual that comes with the CD player. 2.Plug your switch into the outlet marked “CD”. Do not plug a switch into the RADIO jack at the same time. 3.Press your switch to play the CD. Press it again to pause. To operate the Radio: 1.Slide the “FUNCTION” button to “RADIO”. Set the “BAND” to FM. The AM band will not respond to switch activation. 2.Insert your switch into the switch jack marked “RADIO”. Do not plug a switch into the CD jack at the same time. 3.While holding down your switch, tune the radio to the desired FM station and adjust the volume. Note: If using a momentary switch, pressing the switch will play the RADIO, releasing it will stop the radio. Use a Switch/ Latch/Timer (like our Dual Switch Latch Timer 100DSLAT-DS) if you want the radio to play the when you activate and release your switch and continue until you activate your switch again to turn the radio off. Please Note: The use of a Switch Latch Timer will have no effect on the CD portion of this player. Please Note: When finished using the CD player or RADIO, set the OFF/RADIO/CD “FUNCTION” to OFF to prevent battery drain. Problem: The Radio does not function. •Check batteries to ensure they are inserted correctly and be sure to use fresh batteries. Such appliances may cause noise interference or play may stop entirely. • Be sure the FUNCTION button is set to Radio. Hold down your switch while tuning the radio.
