  1. Liam, Managing Director Jason, Title TBD Liam manages this motley crew through budgetary oversight, workflow management, and a well-trimmed beard. His belief in the importance of the network role clears the way for real work. The Network Director will be Jason’s thought partner in answering the question “how do we leverage our network?” The Network Director in the Bay is the first step towards real regional, on-the-ground impact . TBD will hopefully join our staff in the coming weeks. He/she will be the team’s support for development, communications, event management, and data. Network Dir. (title negotiable) TBD, Program Assistant The Bay Area alumni board will serve as the Network Director’s volunteer staff. They’ve read Shirky’s book and are already to be evangelists, early adopters, and community organizers. The Network Director and Program Manager will work closely together, especially on partner relationships. On a continuum, Katherine is selecting and preparing people to become high-impact leaders in the network. By Area Alumni Board Katherine, Program Manger

Become a Hub • Increase your own social capital in the Bay Area • Build bridging capital outside of the sector (CL Foundation) • Build bonding capital within education • Sit down with alumni, partners, funders, and listen • Make immediate connections (jobs, knowledge, resources) • Look for Patterns • Map the Bay Area education network • Derive patterns of needs, assets, gaps, and redundancies • Create a market-based approach to opportunities Network Dir. first six months • Create Understanding • Co-create your role scope and direction w/ Bay team • Introduce yourself and your role within EP • Work with the Alumni Board to create the vision for the network • Communicate the network vision to its stakeholders for shared understanding Get Quick Wins • Revision the summer fellowship as a gateway to the network focusing on messaging to ensure early adoption. • Demonstrate personal value to existing network members to create support and participation (i.e. function groups).
