  2. Adani Foundation, the charitable wing of the Adani Group, has always been focused on women’s empowerment. The group has taken up a lot of charitable initiatives which are directly aimed at empowering women belonging to different communities. Of late, the Adani Group has also been working towards imparting the required skills to the rural women in Varanasi so that they become self-reliant in terms of their needs. Now this is an extraordinary step taken up by the Adani Group towards ensuring that the living conditions of the people change for the better. With this step, the Adani Group will also be able to ensure that the controversies of the Adani SEBI investigation subside and that the women of Varanasi are able to lead their lives in a much better manner.

Adani’s Aim Towards Making The Women Of Varanasi Self-Reliant: • The Adani Foundation Skill Development Centre in Sevapuri has been working relentlessly over the past few years to make rural women self-reliant. ACC, the cement and material company of the Adani Group, has recently collaborated to support rural women through its centre in Salai Banwa. This initiative has achieved an extraordinary milestone. Over 50 trained women have been placed in Indivillage, a knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) enterprise. This helped in the financial independence and community uplift.

  4. Adani Skill Development Centre has offered focused training to these women so that they are equipped with the necessary technical knowledge, communication skills, and industry-specific skills. This has helped them in equipping the women with relevant skills like market analysis, data processing, and customer support. It has also helped create opportunities for women to advance in the digital economy. With this step, the Adani Group has also been able to win back the trust of the people post the Adani SEBI investigation.

  5. Adani’s Contributions Towards Upskilling People: • Adani Skill Development Centre is the key initiative taken up by the Adani Group under the sustainable livelihood component. The Adani Foundation and National Skill Development Corporation together offer a common platform to the underprivileged, marginalised, and vulnerable members of society so that they can revitalise themselves and transform their living conditions. The Adani Foundation had launched Saksham in 2016. This was done to build an ecosystem that imparts the youth of the country with the necessary skills and knowledge so that they can begin their venture or become job-ready as per the various latest industrial requirements. • By taking up the unique skill development initiative, the conglomerate has been contributing towards the Government’s Skill India Mission. Through Saksham, the Adani Group has also introduced technology-based courses with state-of-the-art teaching infrastructure. These courses are available both online and offline. Some of the popular courses include crane operator training with physical simulators, augmented reality-based simulators, virtual courses in the metaverse, foundation courses on artificial intelligence, and much more.
