    9. 9 Accounting Foundation “Bootcamp” Accelerated accounting foundation courses offered in early summer for those needing to satisfy requirements ACCTG 50 – Financial Accounting for Accounting Majors May 31 – June 17 ACCTG 100A – Intermediate Accounting I June 20 – July 8 ACCTG 100B – Intermediate Accounting II July 11 – July 28 Strongly recommended for MST students with no previous accounting experience* * Based upon the hiring practices of the industry and their preferred candidates

    11. 11 Academic Internship Credit Requirements for student eligibility: Student has already completed at least 6 graduate courses in their program 3.0 or higher GPA Student has no similar or relevant work experience Seasonal or full-time employment positions do qualify for internship credit Up to 6 units of internship credit can apply towards degree Position must be reviewed and approved by the department

    12. 12 Scholarship Opportunities Dean’s Merit Scholarship This scholarship will be awards of $20,000 (more than 75% of the cost of tuition) and will be granted to undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional accomplishment and intellectual promise. The Janet and Mark L. Goldenson Diversity Scholarship This scholarship will be awards of $20,000 (more than 75% of the cost of tuition) and will be granted to students who demonstrate financial need and self-identify as coming from a population historically underrepresented in the accounting and tax profession.
