The white precipitate was filtered and washed with -Bromo-L-phenylalanine(2jS)-3-(3-Bromophenyl)-2-(tert-butoxycarbonylamino)propiomc acid (5.0 g, 14.5 mmol) was suspended in 4M HCl in 1, 4-dioxane (75 mL) and stirred for 16 h at r.t.. The white precipitate was filtered and washed with EtTo a stirred solution of compound 10-01-1 (5 g, 0.0141 mol) in 65% aq. ethanol (50 mL) was added Et3N (10 mL, 0.0707 mol), compound 10-01-2 (3.45 g, 0.0141 mol) slowly at RT. The resulting mixture was stirred at 75C for 16 h. The reaction was monitored by LCMS. The reaction mixture was neutralized with 1.5 N HC1, precipitated solid was filtered, washed with water and dried to get the product 10-01-3 as an off white solid. (5.5g, 80.6 %) EtINTERMEDIATE 65 3
