  2. Corazón abierto de par en par Heart wide open • Introducción. A. “Ensanchar” (VRV60) = extender, expandirse, dilatarse; en Santo Domingo, “ensanche” = nuevo barrio. El amor abre, ensancha el corazón. • Introduction. A. “Enlarged” (KJV) = extend, expand, dilate; in Santo Domingo, the word “ensanche” = new barrio. Love opens, enlarges the heart.

The problem caused by false teachers: the heart of some of the Corinthians was straitened toward Paul, they did not appreciate him, but rather, excluded him.

Pero aun así Pablo los amaba como “hijos”. • Some had not received the instructions of Paul, but rather they had formed parties (cliques) and had received false teachers. But even so Paul loved them as “sons.”

Without reservation.

No hay falta de amor en nosotros. • 2 Cor. 7:2, “Open your hearts to us. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have cheated no one.” There is no lack of love in us.

They had their own special friends, their little groups, and paid no attention to others.

Se abusa de su confianza, queda “quema-do”; cierra el corazón hacia otros. • II. Why do we close our hearts? A. Having been wronged, 2 Cor. 7:2. Con-fidence betrayed, leaves you “burned”; close the heart against others.

Esto es abrir el corazón de par en par. • E. Observe good examples: above all, Jesus; also Paul; Barnabas; Rom. 16; 1 Cor. 16:15-19; 3 Jn. 3-5. This is opening the heart wide open.

  29. Corazón abierto de par en par Heart wide open • Conclusión: A. No estrechar sino ensanchar el corazón… Vencer pequeñeces, carnalidad y abrir el corazón a todos, Mat. 22:9. • Conclusion: A. Not close but open up the heart… Overcome childishness, carnality and open the heart to all, Matt. 22:9.
