  3. 1 – Activity report of the board The Board met 10 times: Mar 24th, May 7th, Jun 4th, Aug 3rd, Sep 7th, Oct 8th, Nov 19th, Dec 10th, Jan 21st, Feb 11th • Tasks of the previous treasurer divided into 4 portfolio’s : • G Van Camp – treasurer: Bookkeeping system / Tax / bank document • P Coucke: Fees (membership, post-graduate course, annual meeting) • P Hilbert: Sponsoring • S Van Dooren: Deposition of official documents (annual financial report, change in the composition of the Board…) • Organisation of the 11th Annual Meeting in Louvain-la-Neuve • Re-evaluation of membership fees and registration fees • On-line Registration 30 € • Late registration / on-site (in cash) 40 € • Evaluation of the different Workgroups • Need for accreditation  training, recognition, quality controls, guidelines… • Collaboration with the High Council of Human Genetics / College of Medical Geneticists • Genetic councelling : standard vs complex • Genetic tests carried out abroad

BeSHG workgroup on Master course in Genetics • - first organized 2008-2009 • - Inter-University course on Human Genetics • 8 days of course + additional work + exam • each day organized by one of 8 Belgian Genetic Centres • Thompson and Thompson Genetics in Medicine • 53 students registered, 39 students took exam
