  8. You only have a limited amount of time. Making a plan will help you to: Think about what you want to do Work out what can be achieved in the time you have Help identify risks Decide how you are going to achieve what you want Think about what you might do if some things don't work out

  9. Assembling the Project Team 1. Understand people’s skill set. 2. Choose a team leader. The team leader will need to make the final decision on all activities for this competition. 3. Define a roles for each member in the team e.g. architecture, front-end dev, back-end dev, tester.

  10. Planning Phase: The Project Plan Create a Project Plan, which will define: Activities e.g. IA, wireframes, development plan Timescales Dependencies Who is responsible for each activity

  11. Project Plan: Example

  12. Phase Two: The Development Plan Once you have completed elements of the planning you can begin to think about your development plan. List all of the high-level features and then break each feature down into small tasks. PRIORITISE – be realistic about what can be achieved. Assign a priority to each task, e.g. MUST, SHOULD, COULD, WON’T Assign each task to individual team members

  13. Development Plan: Example
