  1. Revision Guide Let’s get this party started.

  2. This is what you need to know… You will be receiving a SUMMATIVE grade for your revision on this paper. Follow the directions very carefully so that I can track your revision process. Careful attention to these directions could mean the easiest five points that you earn in the 85% category all year long.

  3. Which one applies to you, red or blue? My Google Drive is working because I HAVE downloaded the Docs app. Copy & paste your work from Pagesinto a document that it titled like this: 2, Brown, Charlie, IBTO Final SHARE to jfurne@mypanthers.org. Continue the next steps, ALL in this app. My Google Drive no longer allows me to edit because I DO NOT HAVE the Docs app. Open in Pages Select all Copy Paste directly underneath existing essay Label top essay “Final Draft” Label bottom essay “Rough draft” Continue the next steps, completing all of them in the “Final Draft” section.

  4. Revision: Fix any that receive a “no” Step 1: Read your intro paragraph. • Is it interesting? • Does it sound smooth and readable? • Is the thesis clear? Step 2: Read your first body paragraph. • Does is start with a transition? • Is the topic sentence clear? • Do you include an example or quote? • Do you include a page number? • Is the proof / explanation thorough and related? • Do you use transitions where appropriate IN the paragraph? • Do you like your concluding sentence? Step 3: Repeat for second body paragraph. Step 4: Read your conclusion. • Do you start with a thesis? • Do you like your ending?

  5. Editing: Read your paper and fix • CAPS at the beginning of each sentence. • PERIODS at the end of all sentences. • CAPS on all names. • CAPS on the first letter of each word of the the title. • UNDERLINE title of book in all places. • PAGE NUMBERS in parenthesis (32), unless it is included in your sentence, On page 32… • SPELLING: • Look at EACH WORD . . . Is it the word you intend (they/them, too/two, college/collage). • CONTRACTIONS – get rid of them.
