Mr. Case’s Newsletter/Room 202 January 27th– January 31st wcase2@everettsd.org/ classroom #: 425.385.5652 Our Specialist Schedule: Monday - Music Tues. – Library Wed. – Computers Thurs. – Music Fri. – P.E. What We’re Learning: Reading: We’ll be reading poems and looking at literary devices like analogies. Math: 1st – We will be finishing topic 5 “Subtraction Facts to 20” and taking our assessment. 2nd – We will start topic 8 “Adding Two-Digit Numbers”. Science: We will be looking at a new engineering science kit called “The Best of Bugs” and we’ll be getting worms for our “Soils” kit. (We did not get to science last week!)  Site Words: Again, there will be no site word lists going home. (They will be back the following week.) Special Announcements: Monday, Jan. 27th: No School, Teacher Workday on Progress Reports. Thursday, Jan. 30th: Jackson t-shirt/sweatshirt orders are due. Friday, Jan. 31st: Popcorn/Spirit Friday (Twin Day) Friday, Jan. 31st: LIF Friday, students are released at 2:10. Friday, Feb. 7th: Family Movie Night (Movie Title to Follow) Word of the Month: C O M M U N I C A T I O N @ Rachel Thorp 2013
