  2. MPAR Working Group – Disposition of 2010 Action Items • Action 2010-1: Greg Hunolt to draft white paper on MEaSUREs – DAACs Best Practices, provide draft to MPARWG co-chairs. • Completed. The draft was provided on February 3, 2011. • Action 2010-2: Co-Chairs to refine draft, circulate to projects and DAACs for review and comment. • Completed. The draft was circulated to the DAAC and project representatives who attended the meeting, and to the full MPARWG, and the final version reflecting comments received was accepted by Rama on March 3, 2011 and posted to the MPARWG page on the ESDSWG website.  • Action 2010-3: Rama to send final recommendations to NASA HQ. • Completed. Rama sent the white paper that included the recommendations to Martha Maiden on March 3, 2011. • Action 2010-4: Greg Hunolt to prepare a summary of the Product Quality Metrics discussion provide draft to MPARWG co-chairs. • Completed. The draft Discussion Summary was provided on November 17, 2010, and revised and updated on December 28, 2010.

  3. MPAR Working Group – Disposition of 2010 Action Items • Action 2010-5: Co-chairs to refine the draft and circulate to projects and DAACs and schedule a telecon to continue the work. • Completed. The draft was circulated to the project and DAAC attendees at the meeting on December 28, 2010, and finalized based on their feedback on February 21, 2011. A telecon was scheduled for March 17, 2011. The telecon was held, and based on the telecon discussion, a draft on product quality checklist questions based on original input from Deborah Smith was developed and provided on March 18, 2011. After revisions based on feedback on the initial draft, a new draft that included draft checklists for DAACs and projects was prepared and circulated by Rama to the MEaSUREs projects and the MPARWG for review and comment. On July 15, 2011, a report on the comments received was provided to Rama. • Action 2010–6: Conduct telecon with ACCESS projects to define suitable metrics. • Completed. A telecon with ACCESS project representatives chaired by Rama and Steve Berrick was held on January 12, 2011, and a summary of the telecon discussion was posted to the ESDSWG / MPARWG website. The summary outlined an approach to metrics for the ACCESS projects that takes into account their special nature as technology and service development efforts.

  4. MPAR Working Group – Disposition of 2010 Action Items • Action 2010-7: Work out Quad chart format for ACCESS projects. • Completed. A draft quad chart was provided to Steve Berrick on May 14, 2011. Based on comments received on June 23 and July 5, a second draft quad chart was provided to Steve on July 15, 2011. • Action 2010-8: All –– provide citation metrics by April 2011. • Completed. The due date for citation metrics was extended to September 30, 2011. By that date, six of the seven MEaSUREs projects that are REASoN continuations provided Citations metrics. In addition, eight new MEaSUREs projects provided citations metrics. The results will be discussed at this meeting, and a report to NASA HQ will be completed after the meeting reflecting results of the discussion. • Action 2010-9: MCT/E-Books team – implement method to accept citation metrics • Completed. Support for entering, updating, and displaying the citation metrics (metrics 13 and 14) was implemented in the MCT in January, 2011.
