  2. INTRODUCTION Before dwelling into John Steinbeck’s first success, Of Mice and Men, we need to travel back in time. We will travel back to a time of despair and hard work, yet a time filled with hope and dreams. We will explore the mind of John Stienbeck, the events of the Great Depression, the trials of migrant workers, and the birth of a novel. PROCESS • Working with a partner, students will need to find information on each of the topics. • Split up the work to be more productive. • Put all information, summaries, pictures, etc. on presentation board. • Click on each of the topic pages to find out what is needed for each.
