  2. Meet Will…

  3. 1 John 4:12 (NKJV) • 12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

  4. Seeing God In Us You are the first Bible some people will ever read! Lessons from 1 John

  5. When people observe us, will they observe us keeping His commandments? 1 John 2:3–6 (NKJV) 3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

  6. When people observe us, will they observe us keeping His commandments? 1 John 4:6 (NKJV) 6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

  7. When people observe us, will they observe us keeping His commandments? Romans 2:21–24 (NKJV) 21 You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal? 22 You who say, “Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law? 24 For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written.

  8. When people observe us, will they see people who love God or people who love the world? 1 John 2:15–17 (NKJV) 15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

  9. When people observe us, will they see people who remain faithful ? 1 John 2:18–19 (NKJV) 18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

  10. When people observe us, will they see people who remain faithful ? 1 John 2:24 (NKJV) 24 Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.

  11. When people observe us, will they see people who remain faithful ? 1 Corinthians 4:6 (NKJV) 6 Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other.

  12. When people observe us, will they observe faith that produces love for one another? 1 John 4:7–11 (NKJV) 7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

  13. When people observe us, will they observe faith that produces love for one another? Romans 5:8 (NKJV) 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

  14. When people observe us, will they observe a faith that produces a desire to share the truth with others? 1 John 4:2–3 (NKJV) 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God… 1 John 4:15 (NKJV) 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

  15. When people observe us, will they observe a faith that produces a desire to share the truth with others? 1 John 4:15 (NKJV) 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

  16. When people observe us, will they see us living lives that reflect our faith? 1 John 2:29 (NKJV) 29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

  17. When people observe us, will they see us living lives that reflect our faith? 1 John 3:10 (NKJV) 10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

  18. When people observe us, will they see us living lives that reflect our faith? 1 John 3:18–19 (NKJV) 18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.
