  4. SHARE THE GOSPEL • Accept God’s call for discipleship • Grab all opportunities for witnessing STEPS WE NEED TO MAKE

  5. STEP ONE ACCEPT GOD’S CALL FOR DISCIPLESHIP

  6. Accept God’s Call A. What assumptions can we make about the character of Philip? Acts 6:3 • Philip is an outstanding NT example of an evangelist • Not all Christians are evangelists, but all Christians are witnesses

  7. Accept God’s Call B. What did the persecuted believer do when they fled? Acts 8:1-5 • The church was persecuted • Philip and the other Christian believers continued to share the good news of Jesus

  8. STEP TWO TAKE ALL OPPORTUNITIES FOR WITNESSING

  9. Opportunities for witnessing A. What entering wedge did Philip use in order to start witnessing to the eunuch? Acts 8:26-39 • Philip offered to help in studying the Scripture • The Eunuch decided to accept Jesus by baptism

  10. Opportunities for witnessing “God designs that we should be prompt in accepting and confessing Christ, prompt in obeying him, and in answering the call of duty. The eunuch was a good man of good refute and occupied a high and responsible position. Through his conversion the gospel was carried to Ethiopia, and many there accepted Christ.--EGW, The Spirit of Prophecy, vol. 3, p. 305. QUOTATION
