Established in 1983 (1403 AH), Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center began humbly in a small house in Falls Church, VA, thanks to a determined group of university students. Since then, it has grown into one of Northern Virginia's largest mosques, constructed in 1991 with support from the Saudi Embassy, and now capable of serving thousands of worshippers daily

What We Offer • Our comprehensive services encompass: • Educational Programs: Daily reminders after Fajr and Isha prayers, weekly lectures and Tajweed classes for sisters, monthly Qiyām ul-Layl sessions, and quarterly seminars Hijrah • Youth Initiatives: Daily use of a game room, weekly sports, Quranic and Islamic competitions, and an annual six-week indoor youth camp Hijrah • Social Services: Family assistance, job fairs, health outreach, personal finance and parenting workshops, blood drives, and Ramadan-specific support like food box distribution and Iftar delivery Hijrah • Family Services: Personalized support for families including marriage preparation, counseling, and assistance with funerary procedures (janāzah) Hijrah+1 • Outreach & Dawah: Building bridges between faith and civic life through interfaith projects, leadership in public affairs, and community engagement Hijrah+1 • Weekend Islamic School: Providing Islamic education tailored to children’s spiritual and academic needs Hijrah
Friday Prayer (Jumu'ah) • Our Jumu'ah congregational prayer gathers over 3,000 male and female worshippers each week, offering a spiritually enriching experience with a khutbah (sermon) followed by prayer. This sacred gathering reinforces faith, community bonds, and spiritual renewal
