Watch the clip again to see how it’s used. 例：　ジャイアンツがまたかつように願っています。 (I’m wishing/hoping that the Giants will win again) ジャスティンBとプロムに行けるように　　　　願っています。 (I’m wishing/hoping that I will be able to go to prom with Justin B.)

  16. 〜ようにhas various functions It can be used like to indicate the purpose of something: テストで１００パーセント　とるように　がんばってください。 Try hard so as to get 100 on the test. 元気になるように　くすりを　飲みました。 I took medicine in order to get better.

  17. Write 2-3 sentences that use the 〜よう form to express your desires/hopes for this year. You will write these on the back of the 絵馬that you design next class.
