Interpretation • Louis thinks because he is the king what ever he says goes.

accomplishments • Social: He built fortresses around the country that kept France's borders inviolate (safe) for a century. • Economic: He reduced population pressure in France by the bloodletting in his endless wars. Louis's desire for power led to a series of wars that lasted for many years and extended the boundaries of France • Political: By these means he became one of French history's most powerful monarchs and consolidated a system of absolute power rule in France that endured until the French Revolution. • He protected his people and that made him a great king.

louis the 14th built the “Versailles palace” for all of the political decisions, pass laws and to protect himself from the mobs of paris.
