Phases in the Master program • Month 1: start of Master program • Month 3-4: application to one of the mentors • discuss with mentor general interest, and program for second and third semester, including international term (formal approval) • Month 6-17: Master Thesis preparation • meet bimonthly with mentor to discuss research topic and questions, possibly company involvement • role of mentor is role model researcher,accompanies the student in selecting a good(design-oriented) research question • Month 18-24: Master Thesis (full time)

  4. Final qualifications • Disciplinary knowledge • Independently conduct a research project • development of new knowledge and insights in a purposeful and methodical way • Construct a (re)design of a business process, based on this research project • synthetic activity aimed at the realisation of new/modified artefacts, creating value in accordance with predefined requirements

Master Thesis evaluation criteria • Demonstrate competence in the relevant scientific disciplines • Demonstrate competence in doing research • Demonstrate competence in (re)designing business processes • Have a scientific approach • Demonstrate basic intellectual skills • Cooperate and communicate • Demonstrate awareness of temporal and social context (A. Important dates • Start of Master Thesis Preparation February 2012 • Start of applications 6th December 2011 • End of applicationsbefore 18th January 2012 • Master Thesis PreparationFebruary 2012 - January 2013 (second and third semester) • Master Thesis projectFebruary 2013 - August 2013(fourth semester) • Start of Master Thesis Preparation September 2012 or later • you can apply for a mentor at the end of the nextround. Note that assignment forms can only be handed in during the period mentioned!
